What I ask for, and why

When contributions are open, I collect your legal name, home address, mailing address if different, email, intended amount, previously contributed amount and eligibility confirmations. I use these details to match your transfer, check eligibility, keep financial records and contact you about the contribution. Submitting this form does not subscribe you to campaign updates.

I do not collect banking login details, account numbers or card information. I do not move money through this website. My financial agent must check the actual bank transfer before recording a contribution as received.

Who can see the details

I store contribution records in a restricted hosted database. Access requires an explicitly authorized campaign account. A website preview password does not unlock donor records. My authorized campaign administrators, financial agent and service providers operating the hosting infrastructure may process this information.

The hosting service is not represented as storing data exclusively in British Columbia. My financial agent must maintain the required campaign-finance records in B.C. The hosted ledger supports that work; it does not replace the official records or Elections BC filings.

I do not sell donor information. Required campaign-finance disclosures go to Elections BC. For contributions totalling $100 or more, Elections BC publishes the contributor’s name and amount, with residential addresses obscured.

Retention and corrections

Campaign-finance records must be retained in B.C. until five years after General Voting Day. I cannot promise to delete information that must legally be kept. Contact my financial agent to request a correction or discuss an uncompleted contribution record.

A few important rules

Only individuals who live in B.C. and are Canadian citizens or permanent residents can contribute. Use your own funds, with no reimbursement. Contributions from businesses or organizations are not accepted.

The 2026 annual limit is $1,429.70. It includes contributions by other methods, loans and in-kind contributions. If an elector organization endorses a candidate, the limit is shared with that organization and its endorsed candidates in the jurisdiction. Check with my financial agent if you are unsure how the limit applies to your contributions.

Local campaign contributions are not eligible for income-tax receipts. A saved form or displayed transfer reference is not proof that money was received.

Only the information I need

I have not added advertising trackers or marketing analytics. My hosting provider may process technical connection and security logs. Contribution submissions use a short-lived hashed connection identifier to limit abuse.

Contribution details are not stored in browser local storage. Campaign administration uses the hosting service’s sign-in session. Before launch, a cookie keeps the password-protected preview unlocked.
